Local artist Rick Sinnett has created several murals along Route 66. In 2011, Sinnett painted a mural in El Reno, adding his 50-foot Guardian of the Mother Road artwork to the back of an old drive-in wall. This vibrant mural includes familiar Oklahoma icons, like waving wheat, a scissortail flycatcher and redbuds.
