Monument Hill is a towering obelisk-tribute to the Chisholm Trail and those who traveled it. As the highest point in Jefferson County, Monument Hill provides visitors a view of up to 20 miles. Nearby, you will find the grave of Tom Lattimore, a Black drover who came up the trail as a young man. Another name for Monument Hill is Lookout Point as it was referred to in several trail diaries and journals. The landmark stands as a reminder of one of the most historically significant eras of Oklahoma's history.
