The United Way BBQ Showdown has become a signature event in Southern Oklahoma, attracting attendees from across the region. This event promises to be especially memorable, featuring Cajun Night on Friday with an array of delicious offerings from over 50 cook teams. Indulge in the flavors straight from the Gulf, including all-you-can-eat gumbo, jambalaya, etouffee, boiled shrimp, pastalaya, Cajun fried fish, and boudin. Adding to the excitement, the “King of the Swamp”, Troy Landry, and Jacob Landry of the Swamp People, will be available for a meet and greet. The live entertainment lineup includes Jake Worthington. In addition, there will be a cornhole tournament, as well as free snow cones and face painting for children. 

The fun continues on Saturday with a thrilling BBQ competition where teams vie for the title of Grand Champion. The BBQ competition will feature all-you-can-eat brisket, pork ribs, and pork butt. Additionally, there will be a pickleball tournament and free face painting and snow cones for children, ensuring a fun-filled experience for all attendees.

All proceeds benefit the United Way of South-Central Oklahoma, which supports over 30 agencies and 45 programs, positively impacting the lives of over 60,000 people in a five-county region.
