The Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry is a humble, yet empowering little place for poetry. The mission of the Rural Oklahoma Museum of Poetry is to bring poetry and people together, to encourage wordplay and literacy and to provide a space where everyone can have an experience of poetry. This museum displays rotating exhibits focused on exploring creativity through words.

ROMP's main exhibit room provides a unique, interactive experience that is fun and informative for all ages - even those who have no interest in poetry. The museum also features other exhibits, a craft room where the museum podcast Wacky Poem Life is recorded, garden area, a library, and a wonderful gift shop with ROMP attire and poetry gifts.

ROMP is located in downtown Locust Grove near the ROMP Rummage Store, a thrift store that funds the museum and its work.
