Stephens County Historical Museum
The Stephens County Historical Museum in Duncan features history lessons in the form of vignettes showcasing life in an early day town. A one-room schoolhouse, church, and offices of a pioneer doctor, dentist and lawyer round out the familiar settings of early day homes and business. Each vignette is stocked with authentic antiques and memorabilia of the period.
At the Stephens County Historical Museum, additional collections include arrowheads and Indian artifacts, dolls from primitive to replicas of "First Ladies," oil-related displays and county history including oil industry giant Halliburton Energy Services. Visitors can also learn more about Oklahoma Music Trail inductees included in the Rhythm & Routes exhibit. Take a look at the Rhythm & Routes jukebox, and read more about impactful Oklahoma musicians like Reba McEntire and Blake Shelton while listening to their signature blends of music.
