Crestview Farms
Crestview Farms in Arcadia grows certified organic produce, fruit and herbs that have been certified organic by the ODAFF since 2003. Their fresh produce includes lettuce, carrots, green onions, radishes, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and even garlic. During the warmer months, Crestview Farms works outdoors, but they are continually busy during the cooler months inside the greenhouses and hoop-house.
Keeping with the organic trend, they use only Organic Materials Research Institute approved products. You can find the family-owned farm at the OSU-OKC Farmer's Market or the Chesapeake Market. They also work with the Oklahoma food co-op and run a community supported agriculture group where individuals can pay in advance and get a bag of fresh produce delivered every week.
Tours on the 26-acre farm are available by appointment. Crestview Farms also hosts a "you pick" blackberry event in the summer for children. Take a stroll around the grounds, then check out the gift shop where you can purchase made in Oklahoma products from other businesses like cheese from Kingfisher, salsa from Bartlesville, grape juice from Lexington, honey from Edmond and free-range eggs from Wheatland. Crestview Farms hosts an annual herb festival and plant sale.
