The Pioneer Woman Mercantile
It may be in a small town, but Pawhuska’s downtown shop The Mercantile has a big reputation. Owned by Food Network TV show host Ree Drummond, aka The Pioneer Woman, this shop is a must-see destination in northeast Oklahoma.
The Pioneer Woman Mercantile boasts every kind of merchandise from beaded bracelets and handmade leather goods to apparel. Prepare yourself for a warm, welcoming and unforgettable experience at this one-of-a-kind attraction that attracts an average of 6,000 visitors per day.
Located in a 1910 structure originally named the Osage Mercantile Building, this unique shop has been a regional telephone company and the Osage Realty Company. The Drummond family purchased the building in 2012 and renovated the space to house offices for their ranch. The offices remain upstairs in this three story building, and Ree and Ladd Drummond took their time renovating the remaining spaces within this 25,000+ square foot piece of history. Visitors will find charming details such as original brick walls and tin ceilings.
After a fun shopping excursion, be sure to enjoy a great meal from the deli and grab a takeout box of the bakery’s signature homestyle pastries. The friendly baristas can also whip up a made-to-order latte, coffee or cappuccino for an extra boost of energy while you shop.
