Cedar Lake, nestled in the picturesque Ouachita National Forest, is a prime destination for a variety of activities. Considered a part of Indian Nations National Scenic and Wildlife Area, many bass anglers travel to this tiny lake in eastern Oklahoma hoping to land a trophy bass. Surrounded by pine and oak covered hills, the 86-acre lake is a perfect place to simply relax with the sights and sounds of nature within three miles of shoreline.
Choose from a wide variety of activities including off-the-hook fishing due to the largemouth bass, catfish and bluegill stocked regularly in the lake. Swimming areas, campgrounds, a boat ramp and fishing piers are available within the recreation area. Take in the sights and sounds of the forest on a short nature trail or a three-mile hiking trail that winds around the lake. Enjoy hours of fishing for largemouth bass, catfish and bluegill, all of which are stocked regularly in the lake. Two fishing piers provide easy access to the water, and a ramp is available if you would like to fish from a boat. Note: No motors larger than 7 1/2 horsepower are allowed on the lake.
Both primitive campsites and RV sites with full hookups are available near the shores of the lake, as well as restrooms with flush toilets, warm showers and drinking water.
