Located in Oklahoma City, Lake Hefner is an urban oasis featuring the Lighthouse at East Wharf, an enclosed heated fishing dock, playgrounds, picnic areas and more. Explore nine miles of pedestrian and biking trails on the stunning Bert Cooper Trail and enjoy a running track, softball field, model airplane field and golf course with a pro shop and cart rental. Visitors can dine at lakeside restaurants and find seemingly endless photo ops at this scenic destination. You may even spot wildlife like American mink and Great Herons.
The Lighthouse at East Wharf is a unique spot along the lake’s 18 miles of shoreline. Inspired by the Brant Point Lighthouse, one of the oldest lighthouses in the country, the lighthouse stands at 36-feet tall and shines nightly. Take in views of the iconic beacon and lake, and catch a stunning sunset.
