This summer, make your way to the Civic Center Music Hall to see "Sister Act" presented by Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma. The plot follows disco diva Deloris Van Cartier who needs a place to hide after witnessing a crime. Police stash the rising star in the last place anyone would look, a convent. Trading in her sequins for a habit, Deloris takes over the struggling choir.
The musical is based on the 1992 film by the same name with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Glenn Slater and book by Bill and Cheri Steinkellner. You won't want to miss the funky gospel rhythms and powerhouse vocals at this feel-good show in Oklahoma City this July.
