Carney Fest - Day One
May 1, 2026
Get ready for a full day of music and carnival-style fun during the historic Church Studio's Carney Fest in Tulsa. Inspired by Leon Russell's 1972 album "Carney," this two-day event unites two of Tulsa's most iconic music landmarks, Cain's Ballroom and The Church Studio, for a celebration of music, history and community.
On Friday, the music festival will kick off at Cain's Ballroom with Grammy Award-winner Robert Randolph as the headliner. The renowned pedal steel guitarist blends gospel, blues, funk and rock to create his signature sound. He's built a dedicated fanbase with hits like "When Will the Love Rain Down" and "7 Generations." The genre-defying virtuoso has worked alongside superstars like Beyonce, Norah Jones and Santana.
Before Randolph takes the stage, Knipple will open the evening's festivities. A Tulsa favorite, Knipple is known for their dynamic energy and "garage punk jazz" sound. The band has released singles like "Yeah Right" and "Return to Whatever." Their performances showcase tight musicianship as well as thoughtful lyrics sung through powerful vocals.
On Saturday, head to The Church Studio at 304 S Trenton Ave in Tulsa for Street Fest. This second day of Carney Fest will feature live performances, local food and a festive, carnival-style atmosphere from 10am to 7pm.
