Come along on an exciting and spooky ghost tour at El Reno's historic Fort Reno. Take a walking tour of this historic area and listen as knowledgeable guides provide information on Fort Reno's haunted past and present. Fort Reno, which began as a military camp in 1874, was established for the protection of the Cheyenne and Arapaho tribes. Fort Reno is also famous for the African American Buffalo Soldiers that were stationed there, its role in the Land Run of 1889 and as a historic location for German POWs during WWII.

Sign up for a Fort Reno Historic Spirit Tour and begin your journey with a presentation on the history of the fort and the ghostly encounters experienced there. A local paranormal investigation team will then relay tales of paranormal activity reported at the fort consisting of footsteps, doors mysteriously opening and cold spots throughout the property. Explore Fort Reno and decide the validity of these claims for yourself as attendees are split into groups, given lanterns and instructed to follow their guides on a walking tour around the property and inside former officer's quarters.

Visitors to the Fort Reno Historic Spirit Tour are encouraged to take photographs, as many peculiar images tend to show up on film. Tour groups will be allowed to enter the on-site chapel, where a paranormal researcher will lead the group in a live investigation. Once the walking tour is completed, attendees will have the option of proceeding to the local cemetery, where guides will tell stories of those laid to rest there. Note: The cemetery option will not always be available on every tour. Please call ahead. Reservations are required and space is limited. Participants must be 13 years of age or older to attend.
