Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge
Nestled in the northwest corner of Oklahoma City is the 1,000-acre Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge, a serene haven perfect for bird watching, hiking, biking and fishing. The wildlife refuge is surrounded by a hardwood forest of oak and sycamore trees, many swamps and marshes, and brush perfect for concealing wildlife.
Bring a bicycle and ride through the Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge's trails or explore the area on foot to see more of the beautiful surroundings. The area is also popular for kayaks and canoes, which travel on the North Canadian River/Oklahoma River through the entire wildlife refuge. The Stinchcomb Wildlife Refuge is bordered on the south by Lake Overholser.
