Join the Indian Women's Pocahontas Club in celebrating tradition with unity at the Old Fashioned Picnic & Homecoming at the Will Rogers Stampeded Park in Claremore. The picnic will feature an array of beloved Cherokee foods including traditional hog fry and fresh strawberry shortcake. Bring the whole family to feast, enjoy traditional Cherokee games, and listen to live music. The Women's Pocahontas Club was founded in 1899 in Oowala, Indian Territory, Cooweescoowee District, of what is now known as the Cherokee Nation Reservation.
