Hebert's Specialty Meats & Cajun Ed's
Herbert's Specialty Meats is the destination in Tulsa for authentic Southern Louisiana cooking. While Hebert's boasts a wide variety of specialty meat products, Cajun Ed's is located inside the Hebert's location to prepare and serve these meats for lunch and dinner.
Hebert's is said to be the original creator of the Turducken, a meat generally served around the holidays that begins with a de-boned turkey stuffed with boneless duck and chicken and cornbread and pork dressings. Hebert's churns out more than 3,000 Turduckens a year in addition to a variety of other specialty meats. Try sausages and tasso, crawfish, stuffed poultry and even rabbit. Many of the meats at Hebert's are stuffed with delicious dressings in many varieites from jalapeno cornbread to dirty rice to eggplant.
Cajun Ed's, located inside, expertly prepares and serves these specialty meats. Feast on one-of-a-kind items like crawfish tamales, fish stuffed with shrimp and crab dressing and chicken stuffed with broccoli rice casserole. For dessert, indulge in some delicious beignets.
