Presented by the Oklahoma Historical Society, the Oklahoma History Symposium is a one-day event offering scholars, historians, authors and other professionals a forum to share their work with history enthusiasts. The theme of the 2026 symposium will be "Milestones in Oklahoma History," with panels and sessions highlighting pivotal moments that define the state — from early settlement and statehood to the major cultural, political and economic turning points of the modern era.

This year, the keynote speaker will be the Honorable Glenn English, retired CEO of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association and former 10-term U.S. representative from Oklahoma’s 6th Congressional District.
