This Hinton Main Street mural takes its inspiration from an actual photograph of the strip from 1908. Viewers will notice a man on a windmill, holding onto the lever to prevent the wheels from turning and causing a motion blur while the photo was captured. Artists from Palmer Studios painted this mural to represent how Main Street Hinton looked before a fire devastated the south side of street. It wasn’t until the rebuilding effort after the fire that Hinton constructed the brick buildings visitors will see today.
