Warbird Rides
Experience the thrill of flying around the city of Tulsa with the wind in your hair and goggles over your eyes. Warbird Rides invites passengers to climb in the open-cockpit, fully-restored PT-19 for a ride to remember. Ride in the same aircraft that trained some of our country’s greatest aviators during World War II.
Rides are conducted from Jones Airport (Riverside) up Lewis Avenue where you can see Brookside, the Fairgrounds, Philbrook Museum, and both St. Johns and Hillcrest Hospitals. The flight continues near the University of Tulsa campus and north to view the 1920’s navigation arrow located on the south side of Reservoir Hill, which points toward Tulsa International Airport. Then, you'll cruise over the BOK Center, around downtown Tulsa buildings, down Brookside and Riverside Drive and on to the airport.
Because this aircraft is open-cockpit, rides are offered only during warm weather in the spring, summer and fall. Each ride lasts approximately 30 minutes. Please note that rides are available only for those ages 12 and over. The maximum passenger weight limit is 250 pounds.
