What began in 1910 as the Oklahoma National Stockyards Company, a public livestock market, has since become Historic Stockyards City. This uniquely Western district hosts multiple businesses specializing in Western wear, rustic furniture, farm and ranch needs and fine dining. Other attractions include Cattlemen's Steakhouse, Shorty's Caboy Hattery, Little Joe's Boots, Langston's Western Wear, National Saddlery, Rodeo Cinema, McClintock Saloon and Chop House and more.
Visitors to Historic Stockyards City will be greeted by original brick buildings and historic, time-honored businesses. Witness as Oklahoma City's colorful history is showcased and brought to life within the district, which hosts a variety of events each year and is a popular tourist destination. Historic Stockyards City is on the National Register of Historic Places.
