Franklin Castle
Book an appointment or attend a special event at Franklin Castle in Tahlequah. This former home of a Northeast State College professor, Franklin Castle consists of two stories with sandstone towers. In 2006, Franklin Castle joined the National Register of Historic Places, and although it has been renovated, it still contains fragments of original features like the fireplace, furnace and coal chute originally installed when the house was constructed between 1927-1931. Walk through and see hints of 1930s-inspired decor in this popular Tahlequah landmark that industrial arts professor M.E. Franklin designed for his wife.
