McClintock Saloon & Chop House
McClintock Saloon & Chop House
Whether meeting co-workers to wet your whistle or getting out for date night, plan a visit to McClintock Saloon & Chop House for a delightful evening out. Right in the heart of Historic Stockyards City, this unique venue collects a saloon inspired by an old-west boomtown and high caliber steakhouse under the same roof.
On the saloon side, post up at the 50-foot oak and brass bar, outfitted with stained glass, ornate hand carvings, chandeliers and a proper selection of whiskey and mezcal. After getting comfortable, order up a round or three of McClintock’s house specialty cocktails, ice-cold draft beer or a glass from their well-curated wine list.
After being seated in the Chop House, expect to dine on regional cuisine described by one of the owners as "West Texas gourmet." Kick off your dining experience with onion soup, five-alarm chili or chop salad before sampling bourbon pork belly, chicken fried chicken livers, jumbo shrimp cocktail or a plate of oysters from the appetizer menu. Hand cut steaks range from tenderloin to bavette and ribeye to a prime tomahawk, while other dining options include chicken-fried quail, rack of lamb and Osso Buckaroo veal shank.
McClintock’s is also open for lunch and offers a great selection of sandwiches, lunch entrees and features a brunch menu on the weekend. For those feeling especially festive, climb the saloon stairs and ring the big brass bell, but be warned, once you do, the ringer gets to buy a round of shots for everyone at the bar.
Since the saloon opened up in the same location as the old McClintock’s Boot Store, in addition to the thoughtfully prepared selections off the menu, patrons can also order up a fresh pair of the handmade Boot of the Week (Market Price).
