Mark your calendar for a visit to Robbers Cave State Park near Wilburton on January 1 for a free guided hike. Choose an easy hike along the one-mile Outdoor Classroom Trail, or go for a moderate to strenuous 2-hour hike along the three-mile Mountain Trail. Both hiking groups will meet at Community Room #1 at 9:30am. Bring your binoculars, camera, water and appropriate dress for a cool weather hike. Prep beforehand with hot chocolate, coffee, water, black-eyed peas and trail mix. 

The event is held in conjunction with the America's State Parks First Day Hikes initiative that will take place in all 50 states. First Day Hikes encourage individuals and families to start the year off on the right foot with a trek through a state park.

Note: Children must be carefully supervised along the Mountain Trail due to high elevation and cliffs.
