Tulsa Botanic Blooms
Revel in the arrival of spring at one of the largest spring bulb displays in the state at the Tulsa Botanic Garden. The annual Tulsa Botanic Blooms features a crescendo of color with over 150,000 tulips, daffodils, hyacinths and other spring-flowering bulbs. While peak bloom times vary, early, mid- and late-flowering bulbs in the design allow for about six weeks of prime display time.
The concentration of the floral showcase is in the garden’s A.R. and Marylouise Tandy Floral Terraces, where colors cascade from the top of this terraced garden to the bottom. This year's planting pattern is chevrons, while the blooms' color palette represents Oklahoma bedlam – an array of crimson, cream, orange, dark purple and white tulips.
In addition, approximately 14,000 bulbs are planted in the Children’s Discovery Garden, with colors replicating the Oklahoma sunset. More bulbs can also be seen along the Lakeside Promenade and in front of the visitor center.
Tulsa Botanic Blooms includes a myriad of activities and events to enjoy, including Thursday music nights, tours, family crafts, spring break activities and more. Mother Nature determines blooming, so check the Garden's website and social media for the latest information.
