Route 66 Centennial Celebration
Nov 11, 2026
Route 66 turns 100 on November 11, 2026, and the celebration of the century is being held in Tulsa, the Capital of Route 66. This citywide celebration day honors the road’s Oklahoma roots, the veterans recognized on November 11, and the people, music and communities that keep carrying the Mother Road forward.
Start the celebration early with the Veterans Day Breakfast at VFW Post 577 and then head downtown to watch the patriotic Tulsa Veterans Day Parade. In the afternoon, don’t miss the Centennial Crawl to explore several iconic museums and venues, such as the Woody Guthrie Center and Bob Dylan Center, for free.
While attending the Centennial Crawl, be sure to grab a wristband to attend the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Street Party, a free celebration on Main Street between the OKPOP Museum and Cain’s Ballroom featuring live music and more. Don’t miss “The Centennial Moment” recognizing Route 66’s 100th birthday at 5pm during the street party. Finally, cap off the day with a free concert at Guthrie Green featuring Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys or check out the VIP Party at the OKPOP Museum for just $66.
