You won't want to miss "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street" performed at Civic Center Music Hall in Oklahoma City. Presented by Lyric Theatre of Oklahoma, this devilish play tells the story of Sweeney Todd, the brooding barber who returns to London seeking justice. He befriends and works alongside Mrs. Lovett, a struggling pie-maker. This darkly humorous musical will also feature Canterbury Voices to bring the thrilling musical to life.
The 1979 play's music and lyrics were written by Stephen Sondheim and book by Hugh Wheeler, based on the 1970 play "Sweeney Todd" by Christopher Bond.
