In 1968, the sand barite rosette (rose rock) finally got some long over-due recognition... and was crowned the rock of all rocks... Oklahoma's state rock! And not long after that, the Stein's opened a museum in it's honor down in Noble, just so you can pay homage to this unique mineral...
