Celebrate Okeene's history as a German settlement during the town's annual Germanfest this September. Kick off the festivities with the tapping of the kegs, then dig into some delicious German delicacies. Weiner schnitzel on a pretzel bun or Jager schnitzel, brats, pulled pork, German potato salad and Bavarian kraut are a few of the food items served. Bierocks, case noodles and German desserts will also be available for purchase at the Germanfest Bakeoff Contest.
