Join the Oklahoma Historical Society in commemorating Juneteenth with their free educational program "Black Lawmen in Indian Territory." 

Award-winning author Art T. Burton will give a presentation about the experiences of Black lawmen on the frontier. Burton is the author of multiple books including "Black Gun, Silver Star: The Life and Legend of Frontier Marshal Bass Reeves." This book will be available for purchase at the event. Burton will be available for a book signing after his presentation. 

You'll also have the opportunity to take photos with Bass Reeves reenactors Oscar and Shiron Ray. No registration is required and light refreshments will be served.
