Step back in time with "Old Fort Days" at the Fort Gibson Historic Site. Visitors can expect to see demonstrations about the life of 19th-century soldiers, military disciplinary measures, the post's jail, gardening, encampments, and cooking. You'll also see 18th-century keelboats and hunter / trapper watercraft. 

This event will also focus on women in the military, such as the essential service of laundresses, seamstresses, and traveling merchants. You'll also learn about the outpost's bakehouse, sutler store operations, and the 1870s hospital. Don't miss this living history event held in May.
