Canterbury Voices presents: Jerod Tate's "Loksi' Shaali'"
You won't want to miss the world premiere of Chickasaw composer Jerod Tate's "Loksi' Shaali'" at the Civic Center Music Hall. "Loksi' Shaali'" (Shell Shaker) is a groundbreaking choral and orchestral composition that narrates the story of the Chickasaw-Choctaw migration though the eyes of a Chickasaw girl named Loksi. Joining the nationally recognized Canterbury Voices will be award-winning American Indian opera singers in this semi-staged production of Tate's newest work.
