Cherokee Landing State Park
On a peninsula in the Cookson Hills, just south of Tahlequah, Cherokee Landing State Park sits comfortably at the north end of Lake Tenkiller. While small, this gorgeous park’s unique peninsular location promises some of the best camping on the lake.
Whether hiking along the Red Fox trail or relaxing on a stroll around the park, guests will savor the incredible views in this outdoor paradise featuring spring wildflowers, great birding and even migratory cranes. Don’t forget your bag, not only does Cherokee Landing have an outdoor volleyball court, the park also features a thoughtfully laid out 9-hole disc golf course.
The south end of the park can be subject to flooding during high water events, so RV camping is relegated to the north end of the park. RV sites feature electric and water and can accommodate rigs up to 40 feet long. The park also has a dump station, rentable shelters and group RV camp.
Plan your Cookson Hills getaway and experience the magic of Tenkiller with a visit to Cherokee Landing.
